Galco’s Pocket Holsters
As temperatures rise and we head toward summer, most of us start to shed some layers. One of the simplest solutions for lighter clothing and warmer-weather carry is a pocket holster. Pocket carry offers unique advantages. Not only is the handgun completely covered and concealed, but the carrier can casually place a hand on the holstered/pocketed pistol if a nonspecific threat appears. The fastest draw is to have the gun already in hand!
A pocket holster keeps the firearm in the same general position so the grip can be quickly located during the draw, conceals the shape of the gun so that its outline doesn’t print through the pocket, and allows one-handed release of gun from both pocket and holster.
Galco has a long history with pocket holsters, starting with the Front Pocket Holster design, constructed of extremely durable and long-lasting horsehide.
The Pocket Protector is made of Premium Center Cut Steerhide, a sturdy but supple leather napped on both sides, and reinforced at the holster mouth.
Galco’s newest pocket holster, the StukOn-U, uses a synthetic Gripper Shell exterior to help grab the inside of the pocket, closed-cell foam substrate for shape and sturdiness, and 420 denier packcloth lining.
Note that – when using any pocket holster – the holster should always be removed from the pocket when holstering the handgun.
